Genome Technology magazine is looking for a full-time reporter to break ground on an emerging beat in the genomics field. The right candidate will be a resourceful, ambitious self-starter who has a knack for cultivating sources, reporting from the inside, and breaking scoops. This person will work for the magazine — writing news and short features as well as compiling reader resources such as our new product section — and also report and write beat stories for our online wire service, GenomeWeb News. A science or science writing background is a plus, but is not required. Genome Technology has a very small staff of writers and editors, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to have more responsibility and make a significant impact on a publication.
